These screenshots are of Thunderbird setup, but the server settings in step 4 will apply for other clients as well.
- The first time you open Thunderbird, you will be prompted to either create a new email address or use an existing one – choose Skip this and use my existing email
- On the Mail Account Setup page, enter your name as you would like others to see it, your firstname.lastname@example.org email address, and your NetID password. Click Continue.
- When the option appears, choose Manual config.
- In the manual account settings window, enter the following (screenshot below). The username for both incoming and outgoing is your email@example.com.
