The School of Engineering has a dedicated network that is accessible by faculty, staff, students, and other authorized users. Buildings on the Storrs campus are interconnected by 10 Gigabit Ethernet, with most data jacks providing access to Gigabit Ethernet. The Depot Campus is connected to the Storrs campus with Gigabit Ethernet, with most data jacks providing access to Fast Ethernet. Access to the network is also available through the secure campus wireless network, and from anywhere in the world through the UITS VPN.
ECS maintains all of the data jacks within School of Engineering buildings. Registration is required in order for your computer to access the network. For more information about using our wired network see the Wired Network Access page.
Wireless networking for all of UConn is provided by UITS. Visit http://wireless.uconn.edu/ for instructions on connecting.
