Account Creation and Setup for Faculty/ Staff

Account Creation
To obtain an Engineering Account, have your departmental admin or IT person contact the SoE Help Desk by emailing with the following information:

  1. Full name (First, last, and middle initial if desired)
  2. NetID
  3. Department Name
  4. Status at UConn (Faculty, Staff, Visitor)
  5. If this is going to be a temporary account, the duration for which it should remain active.

Email Configuration
Engineering email has been migrated to the University servers, so all email can now be checked in your mailbox. For more information see here. It is against University policy for faculty or staff email to be forwarded to third-party providers. For more information please see
