Engineering rooms and resources can now be reserved through outlook or via the outlook web page https://mail.engr.uconn.edu. If you are familiar with using meeting requests in outlook, you’ll find this to be a natural extension to what you already do.
The key to understanding room and resource management with Outlook is to realize that to the system, they are the same as people. You send an invitation to a room’s email address and if the room is free and your request meets the departmental policies, it will automatically accept your request and respond to you via email. If on the other hand, the room has been taken, it will decline.
The following are step by step instructions for using this system. Note that because these methods are the same as for scheduling any meeting, these instructions can be used with people as well (though we will not guarantee that people will respond as quickly).
